KNUT Sweden was founded by chef and entrepreneur Martin Sjölander in 2019, based on the idea of making Swedish delicacies from the wild available to the world. Knut is also Martin’s grandfather, who introduced him at an early age to the rich pantry provided by the forests, fields and lakes in Sweden’s mountainous region of Jämtland, as they picked berries, caught fish and tracked big game. These memories provided the seed which grew into KNUT Sweden, which combines hand-picked ingredients from local producers with modern production techniques, allowing the unique flavours to be perfectly preserved.
